Welcome Fall Exchange Students!
The Transfer FASET Orientation program for transfer students and their parents/guests is a full one-day program designed to orient students, parents, and guests to the Georgia Tech community. FASET is designed to acclimate new students and their guests to what it means to be a Yellow Jacket. During the session, you will become better acquainted with the academic environment at Tech, the support services available, the rich traditions, and the campus itself. You will receive all of the information and resources to help you make a successful transition. In addition, you'll meet other new Tech students, campus student leaders, faculty, and administrators. The session will begin at approximately 7:45 am eastern and end at approximately 5:30 pm eastern.
The one-day session is designed to acclimate you to the academic environment at Tech, the support services available, the rich traditions and the campus itself. You will meet with an academic adviser, review transfer credit reports, and be prepared to register for classes. In addition, you'll meet other new Tech students, campus student leaders, faculty members, and administrators. You won't want to miss out on FASET, so register as soon as possible to attend!
The orientation fee of $115 for each student and covers all orientation materials. The fee will be automatically added to your Georgia Tech student account.
Please note that the HOPE scholarship and other scholarships do not cover the cost of the orientation fee. Your FASET fee will be due with your other student fees. Please visit the Bursars Office Web site for the fee payment calendar.
All cancellations must be made in writing by 15 business days before the session for a refund of the registration fee less a $25 administration fee. To request a refund, email firstname.lastname@example.org. No refunds will be made on cancellations made after 15 business days before the session.
If you are not planning to enroll at Georgia Tech this spring please update your application via www.admission.gatech.edu/cancel. Cancelling your application with the Office of Admission will not automatically cancel your FASET registration. You must follow both processes.
Medical Immunization Requirements
All students entering Georgia Tech MUST submit their REQUIRED IMMUNIZATION FORMS to satisfy the Board of Regents immunization requirements. It is highly recommended that the requirements be completed with your family physician or at Stamps Health Services prior to starting classes. All immunization requirements and the associated forms may be found at www.health.gatech.edu under “Immunization Requirements”. Please read all the information carefully and submit the forms by the due date shown. Students will not be able to drop/add or register for future classes if the immunization requirements are not satisfied. If you are attending a FASET session and are lacking any of the requirements, Stamps Health Services will be happy to administer any or all of the required immunizations. Please call 404-385-4995 for an appointment. Payment is expected at the time of service for the administration of the immunizations. Our price list is located on the above webpage.
