FASET is Georgia Tech's orientation program for new undergraduate students (first-year, exchange, and transfers) as well as their parents, family members, and guests. FASET has been a Georgia Tech tradition since 1971. Orientation sessions are offered at the start of each semester for transfer students and during the summer for incoming first-year students. During orientation new students will receive academic advisement, register for their first semester of courses, and complete other business items.
In addition, Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and administrators will discuss important campus services, student organizations, the undergraduate curriculum, and academic programs. Most importantly, students, parents, and guests will have an opportunity to meet and interact with current Tech students as well as to get to know other new students, parents, and guests.
This coming year, FASET will look drastically different than it has in years past. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, all FASET Orientation sessions will be online. Being so, our schedule for all sessions has changed to a virtual format, information on those sessions and the schedule is below! Space is limited to virtual sessions. This way we can provide the best student and guest support possible. When registering, students may not get their first or second choice of sessions, especially for our larger majors.
