Best advice for an incoming student:
It can be easy to believe that the only way to be successful in college is to do certain extracurriculars, apply for a certain internship, or get a certain grade in a class, but having a rewarding college experience comes from being intentional in your actions and seeking out your interests. This is one of the only times in your life that you'll be surrounded by such a large community of innovative and passionate thinkers, so get to know your classmates, TAs, and professors because everyone has a unique perspective to share. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to do college, and pursuing a path you are passionate about will be a more fulfilling experience than choosing something that simply looks good on your resume. Following your passions will help you make decisions that will shape you into the best version of yourself!

Why should you come to Wreck Camp?:
You should come to Wreck Camp because it's a perfect opportunity to build relationships with other incoming students before the excitement of classes starts. From your small group friends, to people you randomly meet will playing Signs at free time, there's so many opportunities at Wreck Camp to have fun and make new friends while doing so. Walking around campus those first few days can be nerve-wracking as a first-year since you are away from home and hardly know anyone, but seeing a friendly face from Wreck Camp (whether a fellow camper or a counselor) is incredibly comforting. Wreck Camp is a community and doesn't stop after those four days in August!
