Register for Parent & Guest Orientation: August 14-16

We are so excited to have your students join us and we hope that you are as well. As we prepare for the beginning of the fall semester, we wanted to share information about our Guest Orientation sessions taking place during move-in weekend, August 14-16, 2021. The session will allow family members of our incoming students the opportunity to interact with our Dean of Students, Parent & Family Programs, and many other campus partners to give you the opportunity to connect with campus and have questions answered as you prepare to assist your student in their transition to life at Georgia Tech.

The following sessions are hosted by New Student & Transition Programs and Parent & Family Programs and will take place in the Ferst Theater and the Exhibition Hall. The schedule is as followed: 

Saturday, August 14th  
  • 3-4pm: What Every Yellow Jacket Family Should Know at Ferst Theater (pre-registration required, linked below)
  • 4-6:30pm: Tech Resource Fair at the Exhibition Hall 
  • 4:30 & 5:30pm: Parent & Family Programs Break-out Session at the Instructional Center (Rm 103)
Sunday, August 15th
  • 10-11am: What Every Yellow Jacket Family Should Know at Ferst Theater (pre-registration required, linked below)
  • 11am-1:30pm: Tech Resource Fair at the Exhibition Hall
  • 11:30am & 12:30pm: Parent & Family Programs Break-out Session at the Instructional Center (Rm 103)
  • 3-4pm: What Every Yellow Jacket Family Should Know at Ferst Theater (pre-registration required, linked below)
Monday, August 16th

Wednesday, August 18th 
Transfer and Rising Second-Year Parent and Guest Session

*all sessions are the same and only one of each session should be attended based on the student's move-in schedule*
