What is Wreck Camp: ATL?

Wreck Camp ATL is one of our newest programs in New Student & Transition Programs! Wreck Camp ATL is a 3-day, on-campus experience where students will learn more about our institute’s traditions, community, and ways to help them transition to the next level of their college career over time. You will also gain helpful insight from your peers and upperclassman students that will help you acclimate to Georgia Tech as well. Wreck Camp ATL will surely have you prepared for your first year at Georgia Tech with an emphasis on acclimating to the greater Atlanta area.


Who can attend Wreck Camp: ATL?

Georgia Tech is committed to providing all new students with the opportunities and information that will help them achieve their goals and be successful at the Institute. First-year students, transfer students, and new international students are invited to take part in the Wreck Camp experience. 

*Rising second-years are also able to attend this year's experiences, as last year's were canceled*


Cost Of Wreck Camp: ATL

Wreck Camp ATL costs $225 per student to attend. This includes all meals, lodging, a bag and (2) t-shirts


When does Wreck Camp: ATL Registration Close?

Wreck Camp: ATL - June 4, 2021 (NOW CLOSED)

All camp's registration closes (15) business days prior to the camp start date


Early Move-In (Wreck Camp: ATL)

If you are an out-of-state student attending Wreck Camp ATL, you will have the opportunity to move into your Wreck Camp ATL camp housing assignment the night before camp begins (June 24, 2021)This will be an additional fee of $65 if you move in the night before camp. 

Early Arrivals (June 24, 2021): Please try to arrive at Georgia Tech's campus between the hours of 8 am-8 pm for check-in service. More information about this service will be provided via email closer to the registration end date. 

*Please note, you will not be staying in your Fall 2021 housing assignment during Wreck Camp ATL*


Travel Specific Information (Wreck Camp: ATL)

June 25, 2021 (Move-in begins at 8:00 am)

June 27, 2021 (Wreck Camp: ATL will be over by 4:00 pm)

*COVID-19 and Safety Disclaimer*

To help ensure the safety of all students, staff, and campus partners, we are strongly recommending that you complete a COVID test(s)/vaccination prior to your arrival on campus, and wear a facial covering during our program. Extra safety precautions of our experiences include but are not limited to: cleaning each indoor space after each usage, sanitizer located in every space, and social distancing. As a reminder, due to COVID-19 these programs may be altered or canceled. Students who have registered will be notified if any changes have been made to either program.

*There will be a cap on how many students can attend each program. We will notify you if you have been placed on the waitlist for either program upon registering via email. Registrations are on a first come first serve basis*

HIVE Virtual Engagement

A unique online experience open to all incoming students looking to build a sense of community before starting their first semester at Georgia Tech. HIVE will take place on July 13-15, 2021 virtually.
