FASET Registration Policies

  1. Space is limited in all sessions. 
  1. First-year FASET registration will open on Monday, February 10th for students who have paid their admission deposit. For all other students, they will be able to register approximately 24 hours after their admission deposit has been processed. 
  2. There is no fee for guests to attend an online orientation session, students must provide the email addresses of those guests who would like to receive the online session information. 
  3. If first-year students are planning on changing their major, they must do so on their Admission Portal before they register for a FASET session. This will ensure they are attending the correct session. 
  4. Students are required to attend their major specific orientation session. 
  5. If there is a student who has internet access issues and is not able to attend a session during the summer, a request can be made to be placed in the August 10th - All Major session. 
  6. If a fall first-year admitted student is considering becoming a summer admit, please do not register for a FASET session until you have confirmed your beginning semester.  
  7. Students may request a FASET session change request through their Admission portal. The first session change request is no charge. Any session request changes after that, will be $25.  
  8. FASET registration for incoming summer first-year students sessions (June 3, 4, 5,) will close on May 22nd at 11:59 pm EST. 
  9. FASET registration for incoming fall first-year students will close at 11:59 pm EST on May 31st.   
  10. Fall transfer and exchange students will be able to register starting early June.  
  11. If a student does not register to attend a FASET session, they will not be able to register for classes until the conclusion of all FASET sessions.
    1. For Summer First-Year students, that time would be June 5th at 5 pm.
    2. For Fall First-Year Students, that time would be August 10th at 5 pm.
    3. For Fall Transfer students that time would be August 10th at 5 pm. 
  12. Refunds: all cancellations must be made within 15 business days of the FASET session the student is registered for. If the refund is made within that requirement, all but a $25 service fee will be refunded back to the student’s account.  Requests must be sent to transitionprograms@studentlife.gatech.edu.  
  13. Payment: All FASET related fees will be billed to the student's account through Georgia Tech's Bursar Office (404.894.4618). These charges will be placed on the student's account right before the student's orientation session and must be paid when tuition is due.
