Welcome New Students!

The Office of New Student & Transition Programs supports the success of new and continuing students by creating meaningful opportunities for connection, engagement, and leadership within the Georgia Tech community. Our programs include FASET Orientation for First-Year, Transfer, International, and Exchange students and their guests; Wreck Camp, Georgia Tech’s extended orientation camp experience; Week of Welcome, a collaborative campus-wide initiative that helps students begin the semester connected and engaged; and leadership opportunities for students serving as FASET Cabinet members, FASET Leaders, Wreck Camp Directors, and Wreck Camp Staff. Together, these initiatives help students navigate transitions, build community, and thrive at Georgia Tech.

Familiarization and Adaptation to the Surroundings and Environs of Tech (FASET) is our one-day orientation that provides new students (First-Year, Transfer, International, Exchange) numerous opportunities to learn how to be a successful Yellow Jacket in and out of the classroom.

Wreck Camp is an extended orientation experience that brings together new and current students to jumpstart their college experience in a fun summer camp setting. You will be in small groups led by two upperclassmen student leaders, color-themed teams, and the overall large camp.
