Schedule

Our one-day virtual orientation schedule allows new students numerous opportunities to learn how to be a successful Yellow Jacket in and out of the classroom. Plan to begin orientation at 11:30 a.m. ET by attending a welcome session. Followed by a small group with a FASET Leader, last-minute meeting with your Academic Advisor,  and then ending the day with course registration. These sessions are reserved for out of state students.

Our one-day in-person orientation schedule allows new students numerous opportunities to learn how to be a successful Yellow Jacket in and out of the classroom. Plan to begin orientation at 7:15 a.m. ET with check-in, followed by a welcome session, sessions from campus partners, a small group with a FASET Leader, meeting with your Academic Advisor, and then ending the day with course registration. 

Students will receive information closer to their session time about their online or in-person sessions, how to access them, where to go, and more. 

FASET Registration for all incoming Fall 2024 students will begin on Wednesday, April 17th at 10am!

Cost

The orientation fee for each student will cover the cost of all orientation materials and Week of Welcome activities. In-person FASET sessions are $150. Virtual FASET sessions are $115.

You are allowed to bring (2) Guests with you to FASET Orientation. The Fee for guests is $85 each.

The fees for attending FASET will be automatically added to your Georgia Tech student account. Students are not charged at the time of registration, they will be charged at a later date. 

Please note that the HOPE scholarship and other scholarships do not cover the cost of the orientation fee. Your FASET fee will be due with your other student fees. Please visit the Bursars Office website for the fee payment calendar.

 

Overnight Housing

Overnight housing the night before FASET sessions is available for an additional cost (for students only) at select FASET sessions. This option is available for the following sessions:

  • June 25th
  • June 27th
  • June 28th
  • July 10th
  • July 11th
  • July 12th
  • July 15th
  • July 22nd
  • July 24th
  • July 25th
  • July 26th

You can opt into early arrival housing through your FASET registration!

Reservation Cancellations

If you are no longer attending FASET, cancellations must be received fifteen Business Days before your FASET session. (Business days are days that Georgia Tech is officially open for business.). Please email transitionprograms@studentlife.gatech.edu to officially cancel your reservation.

If you are not planning to enroll at Georgia Tech, please visit your admission portal to update your application. More information at the Undergraduate Admission website. Canceling your application with the Office of Admission will not automatically cancel your FASET registration. You must follow both processes.

Immunization Requirements

All students entering Georgia Tech MUST submit their REQUIRED IMMUNIZATION FORMS to satisfy the Board of Regents immunization requirements. It is highly recommended that these be completed with your family physician or at Stamps Health Services prior to starting classes.
