FASET is an acronym for "Familiarization and Adaptation to the Surroundings and Environs of Tech", an orientation program for new students and their parents, families, and guests. It is the first step in making a successful transition to Tech. Each first-year FASET Orientation session lasts one day, and there are many sessions to choose from throughout the summer.  

FASET is your opportunity to begin building connections and confidence before your first semester at Georgia Tech. Students will connect with fellow incoming Yellow Jackets, faculty, staff, and campus leaders while learning about the resources, opportunities, and support systems available to help them succeed.

While the focus of the day is on fostering community and belonging for our incoming students and their guests, students will have the added opportunity of receiving academic advising, registering for their first-semester courses, and completing important enrollment steps. Families and guests will gain valuable insight into the student experience and learn how Georgia Tech supports students academically, socially, and personally throughout their college journey.

Most importantly, FASET helps students and families feel informed, connected, and prepared for a successful transition to Georgia Tech. We can't wait to welcome you to the Yellow Jacket community.
