Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous NSTP experience (Wreck Camp, FASET, KNIT, FLOs, Connect etc.)
- Student Directors must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA at time of application and maintain that GPA throughout the involvement term.
- Student Directors must be a full-time student throughout the fall and spring semesters.
- Student Directors must be in good academic and judicial standing throughout their term.
- If applicable, obtain a Co-op or Internship in the greater Atlanta area as duties require in town presence.
- Availability to participate fully in all Wreck Camp programs and events, including directors meetings, staff trainings, retreats, NSTP Social etc.
- Must assign and abide by the rules of the behavior contract distributed when offered position.
- Student Directors must understand and support the goals of all Wreck Camp programs.
- Work cooperatively with others to perform necessary ‘wrap-up’ duties after the Wreck Camp session, including producing a transition document/files for future returning staff.
- All applicants must schedule an appointment for an interview upon submission of their application.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all meetings, trainings, and workshops associated with Wreck Camp.
- Participate in the Wreck Camp staff selection, training, supervision, and development process.
- Assist with the on-going planning, implementation, and evaluation of Wreck Camp programs.
- Work productively and cooperatively with all members of the campus community to effectively implement extended orientation programs.
- Organize, direct, implement, and monitor areas of responsibility assigned in an effective and efficient manner.
- Monitor and supervise all assigned Wreck Camp activities/events.
- Work cooperatively with others to perform necessary ‘wrap-up’ duties after the Wreck Camp session, including producing transition document/files for future student directors.
- Attend a NSTP Executive Officer Retreat (TBD).
- Attend weekly training meetings during the fall semester on Monday evening from 5:30-8 p.m. (November 4, 11, and 18. December 2)
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of the 2024 Wreck Camp Leader staff. Individual interviews will be January 20-22. Group interviews will be on January 27-29
- Staff Selection: January 30-31
- FASET and Wreck Camp Staff Retreat will take place on May 16-18
- Maintain good academic and judicial standing (no active warnings or probations on record) with Georgia Tech.
- Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Work with institutional and community partners to enable the success of FASET, Wreck Camp, and other NSTP programs.
- Share your love and passion of Georgia Tech with 3,000+ incoming students and guests.

Individual Director Position Descriptions
Director of Training & Development - TAD
- Creates, coordinates, and implements an effective recruitment plan to attract a diverse and innovative staff.
- Plan and implement staff training schedule and curriculum (in conjunction with advisor).
- Plan and coordinate staff retreat (in conjunction with advisor).
- Plan and implement staff morale activities throughout the duration of your term.
- Advise and direct all Training & Development committee chairs.
- Responsible for coordinating Staff Banquet in the fall (in conjunction with advisor).
- Organize out-of-training team development opportunities and socials.
- Ability to hold self and others accountable of actions, contracts, and commitments.
- Assist with the logistics and implementation of all Wreck Camp programs.
- Lead a color team of diverse Wreck Camp Counselors and students.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director, Assistant Director, Coordinator, or Graduate Assistant(s) of NSTP as necessitated by the position.
Director of Programming & Logistics - P&L
- Assist with schedule development for all Wreck Camp programs.
- Responsible for all logistics of all Wreck Camp programs.
- Direct staff assignments at all Wreck Camp programs.
- Advise and direct the Wreck Camp Games, Odyssey, Kick-Off, and New Programming committee chairs.
- Advise and direct all Programming & Logistics committee chairs.
- Represent Wreck Camp at the Annual Cage Cleaning, collaborating with all other NSTP Program representatives.
- Inventory, maintain, and purchase all supplies for Wreck Camp programs.
- Assist with the implementation of staff training.
- Lead a color team of Diverse Wreck Camp Counselors and students.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director, Assistant Director, Coordinator, or Graduate Assistant(s) of NSTP as necessitated by the position.
Director of Recruitment & Retention - R&R
- Coordinate a comprehensive recruitment plan targeting incoming students encouraging them to attend a Wreck Camp program.
- Coordinate Director and staff involvement at admission and FASET Orientation events to promote Wreck Camp programs.
- Engage and connect with campers prior to arrival using social media, email, and mail communications.
- Coordinate all photo/video documentation and promotion of all Wreck Camp programs.
- Assist with social media efforts to promote Wreck Camp/NSTP to students.
- Advise and direct all Recruitment & Retention committee chairs.
- Advise and direct the Wreck Camp Reunion committee chair(s).
- Assist with the logistics and implementation of all Wreck Camp programs.
- Assist with the implementation of staff training.
- Lead a color team of diverse Wreck Camp Counselors and students.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director, Assistant Director, Coordinator, or Graduate Assistant(s) of NSTP as necessitated by the position.

Director Removal
A Student Director may be removed if it is determined that they are not maintaining ethics befitting a professional, not performing satisfactorily, not able to work productively with others, not meeting the minimum GPA and conduct requirements, breaching their Student Director Contracts, or jeopardizing the success of the program.
